Mark Anthony Williamson passed away peacefully after a short illness on July 13th, 2025 in Edmonds, WA. Mark was born on November 29th, 1966, in Seattle, and he attended Roosevelt High School. Mark was the victim of a violent crime in his twenties that left him with a lifelong disability. Despite this, Mark went on to become an outgoing, loving, resilient, strong man who cared deeply for others and made friends easily.
In recent years, Mark had committed to bettering his life and building long-term stability for his future. He completed a treatment program, learning all about how his early traumas were affecting his daily life. Mark took this information about himself seriously, and he started to think about his experiences in a new way. Mark worked hard to obtain a home of his own, and his apartment in Lynnwood was a huge source of pride for him. When he was choosing where to live, he picked Lynnwood so that he could be close to his mother, Chero and close to his friend CeCe, who Mark often called “my person in this world.”
Mark is survived by his siblings, both his parents, and a host of friends and acquaintances.
Mark touched so many lives with his gregarious, mischievous nature, his outgoing personality, and his quick wit. He will always be remembered by those who knew him best as a bright light that never gave up, always striving to be better.
May he rest in peace and love.
