Timothy Patrick Goldkamp died on December 1, 2024 in Seattle, Washington. He was 59 years old.
He was the seventh of nine children, born to Art and Ginny Goldkamp of Redmond, Washington. Tim was born on August 24, 1965 and lived in Winnetka, Illinois for 3 years before moving to the Bellevue area with his family.
Tim was a lively child, and a good athlete; engaged in many activities, that included swimming on the Woodridge swim team in Bellevue in the summers. He was a little league pitcher and also played soccer and basketball on the Woodridge Hill and Boy's Club teams throughout elementary school. In his later teens and twenties he played a lot of tennis with his brother Brian. He was sweet to his nieces and nephews and they remember him this way.
As a young adult he worked in the food industry, part of this time as a chef, and he impressed family and friends with his cooking and impressive knife-sharpening skills! We all enjoyed salmon, steak and other dishes prepared with Tim's culinary flare. He worked in construction trades, often with two of his brothers - remodeling, landscaping, and doing carpet installation.
In the early 2000s, Tim enjoyed a particularly happy period living in the warmth and sunshine of Hawaii, where he worked, swam, hiked and enjoyed visits from family. He had hopes of getting back there.
Tim possessed good attention to detail, a quick wit, and a chill demeanor - on his better days. We most fondly remember doing ordinary, every day activities when together. He struggled for a number of years with drug addiction and this sadly ended his life prematurely. He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Ginny, and his brother, Kevin. He will be missed and is survived by his seven siblings, Bob Steve, Julie, Amy, Brian, Jeff, Greg. We are grateful he is now at peace.
His life can be honored by any donation to a favorite charity.
